Course Description:
This traffic control training course does not replace or substitute the Main Roads endorsed Levels 2, 3 or 4 MUTCD Part 3 Works on Roads training course. The MUTCD part 3 Works on Roads is the minimum signage requirement for work on Queensland roads. If an organisation has policies or procedures in place that are of a higher standard than the MUTCD part 3 Works on Roads – then the higher standard policies or procedures must be followed.

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge and understanding of the minimum standard of signage as per the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) part 3 works on roads. Koolat Safety ensures that applicants are provided with professional guidance & training in the approved procedures for placing road signs by State/Territory Legislative requirements & Issuance of “attendance certificate” – Queensland Government – Transport & Department of Main Roads –“Traffic Management Level One (Signage awareness) Course”
- NOTE: Koolat Safety Training reserves the right to refuses any person entry or remove them from a training venue if it is in the best interests to others & is for the operation of the training program & the trainer.
There are no prerequisites for this course but it is useful to all workers, supervisors and managers of projects where work on roads are undertaken.
Traffic Controllers who hold Traffic Controller Licences pre-July 2008 will also benefit from taking this short course.
Participants are advised to hold intermediate numeracy, literacy and communication skills to read and comprehend written instructions.
Students are to wear STEEL CAP SAFETY BOOTS and appropriate PPE
