Assessing and Securing the work area:

Carrying out special operations with mobile cranes and Carrying out multiple crane lifts

Current licenced crane operators requiring CN licences may be able to apply for RPL.  References and logbook hours must be produced for the type of crane on which you require to have your prior learning recognised. Potential crane operators should have dogging and rigging licences before attempting to obtain crane licences.

  • Participants are advised to hold intermediate numeracy, literacy and communication skills to read and comprehend written instructions and must be at least 18 years of age
  • Students are to wear closed in shoes (steel caps)
  • Students must have a intermediate understanding of mathematics (must be able to work out formulas for loads and safe working loads of steel wire rope, synthetic rope and chains)

Students must also bring;

  • •ALL MANDATORY PPE
  • •Hard Hat and Safety Vest, Safety Boots, Long Sleeve Shirts
  • •Drivers Licence or Passport (required for course registration)
  • •Koolat Safety can provide Safety equipment upon request
Important Information:
  • Students should have intermediate reading and writing skills (to be able to identify and interpret workplace signs)
  • Payment is required prior to the course commencing please contact us for details. EFTPOS facilities are available at our office
